VAMPIRE FACIAL (PRP THERAPY)
What's the vampire facial?
PRP treatment, also known as the VAMPIRE FACIAL, is a treatment in which the your blood is centrifuged to separate the plasma. This is the part of the blood that has all the growth factors and stem cells from the platelets that help build collagen (you know, the stuff that makes you look young and you stop producing after 30). The PRP (platelet rich plasma) is then absorbed topically as the microneedling is taking place, but is also injected into the face in the problem areas. The treatment is as good as it gets without being invasive. It's perfect at addressing problems like hyperpigmentation, acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles and overall uneven texture problems.
How long is the process and what does it include?
The vampire treatment last about an hour and a half to two hours. It starts with the application of a topical high strength anesthetic to make sure the experience is as comfortable as possible. After the anesthetic has taken effect, the patient will undergo a skin tightening laser treatment. The laser treatment will be followed by a microneedling, which will create micro channels for the patients plasma to be absorbed, as well as disrupt scar tissue and promote collagen production. After the topical plasma application, the RN can inject the plasma using a small syringe into the problem areas of the face for an additional fee. The treatment will be finalized with a collagen and elastin serum application and an LED light treatment to promote healthy healing.
What makes your vampire facial special?
At Dermabella Beauty Clinic we place a huge emphasis on obtaining results. Our vampire facial is unique because it includdes a skin tightening laser procedure righ before the microneedling to help further promote collagen and serum absorption, which has magnified patient results. We have found that there are no "one size fits all" treatments, which is why we have combined the very best to achieve great results. Our treatment is also carried out by an Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience and a laser certification.
Is the process painful? Any side effects?
Not really. Topical high strength numbing cream is applied to keep any discomfort level to a minimum. The treatment is non-invasive and there are minimum possible side effects which include light bruising which can be easily covered up with makeup. Because the treatment uses the individual's plasma, it is extremely safe. Because the treatment is non-invasive, the recovery time is less than 24 hrs.
What's the difference between PRP injections and fillers?
Fillers and PRP therapy can be used simultaneously to achieve great results! While we are a big fan of fillers, we understand that they are not for everyone. Dermal fillers are gel like substances that are injected underneath the skin to smooth lines, enhance contours, and restore volume. In general, most fillers last from 6-18 months and require upkeep. On the other hand, PRP injections stimulate collagen growth even after the treatment. While fillers are great for laugh lines and the under eye areas, they do not address hyper-pigmentation or textural issues. PRP injections are also the safest because they are made with the patient's own plasma. If you are looking for an effective yet non- aggressive way to look young without getting botox or fillers, this is the best treatment for you.
What's the cost?
$595 and it includes the laser skin tightening (regular price $300), microneedling procedure, plasma application, collagen and elastin application, and LED treatment.
What can I expect as far as results?
While every client is different, you can expect to see on average a 15-20% skin improvement per session. Our vampire facial has different components (lasers, LED, plasma, brightening, collagen, elastin, microneedling) that have shown us greater results.
